My Bloomor necklace

I partecipated a beading challenge of " Perlistik" forum;
the theme was to make a wareable piece
beased on an original pattern of "Try to be "

" Bloomor" bracelet.
The rule was follow the pattern strictly but change as much as possible
the sizes of beads; the colors and combinations.
I found 18 differnet ways to make it : )))
It took me a month only for build this necklace,
also because I am really a very lousy pattern follower,
too often the things came out without control : P
Even though I forced myself to stick around the pattern,
I have had really hard moment not to do something else...

Although I didn't win( I was one of the finalist)
I am quite possitive of the result because I was forced to thinking about
all the possibilities and thinking in different ways.

I made this earring without pattern for Concetta's birthday.
Hope she will like them :) This necklace is my very first X'mas present of this year,
I won these glass cube beads form a hobby competition,
One of my friend is totaly in love with them so I made
this necklace with a really large advance for her.

And last week I've been in Milan for Hobby show
(to be honest if you are looking for some interesting
beading materials you will be probably really disappointed like me :( )
Of course this is my personal opinion cause I paid 8 euros
(with discount full price was 10 euros)and I got out after maybe an hour,
with only few semi-precious strand, with these I suppose Jasper drops
I made a flower ring.

My bodog necklace

When I've been in Budapest this Spring,
I took a beading course from Vezsuzsi

And I made a Bodog pendant during this 3 hours lesson and have had fun :)
She suggested me to use this Bodog pendant to build a bracelete;
I was agree this idea,then I came back and after months
I changed my mind.
So here you are a Bodog necklace with a beaded chain

sort of embellished brick stitch mix flat spiral rope.
I modified a little bit,happy with what I've done :)!

The clasp is made with a modified bodog pendant.

Vicenza - Hobby show Abilmente

I was in Vicenza today, a beautiful city that I haven't visit yet
for the autumn hobby show " Abilmente"

I've had fun even though for my personal opinion,
beads were not cheap at all and I saw a lot copycats
who sells kits there (most of them came from internet free patterns)
that made me angry so I don't even want to mention
those poor generous authors who share their ideas for free....

I did found something interesting---Venetian seed beads
( size between 14-15) Even in Italy they are not easy to find.

And inside this hobbyshow there was also a incredible
Pino Grosso's embroidary master pieces exhibition.

Amazing; gorgeours;I was totaly attracted by this perfection.

even the back side which people usually don't watch through.

They were something really " beautiful " the creativity and fantasies

inspired me.

The last photo took from" Giardini Salvi " always in Vicenza.

I made this necklace without pattern named " Summer beauty"

with some other Tila beads hiden under center piece...

( I think I should give up to show them at all ; P )

The rope was made following Janny Van's instruction

(B&B December 2010) I changed beads size,

and it took me uncounted hours...

Raw bezel Asfour octagon, Swarocski pearls,bicones,teardrop.

And a lot of seed beads.

So I didn't update that often my blog,
here is my very first Spiral rope chain
with a gorgeous vintage blue glass drop,
and for the connection I used some tila beads,
swarovski pearl beads and bicones.

Maybe you are asking where are those tila beads...
Actually I hide them ; p there are soemwhere inside...

Actually I was trying to set a Swarovski rivoli,

but I counted wrong number of seed beads,

and not only once....incredible but true;

and because the settings didn't match anymore,

the only thing fit was:

They are not glass cabochons.....they are glass pill which people usually

use for home decoration....and after I finished the setting,

I recall I admired for long time the original design form

Petal and a simple one

It was suppose to be a match ring for my Flow collar, but I found out with rounded petals suit better, so with all the same color palette,my "Petal" ring. This weekend I was working on a new project, and during my creation things go in different ways. One of this out of control escape is a simple collar. Other escape experiments coming up : ))

Budapest - Beading course and more

I've been in Budapest last week,a incredible beautiful city; awsome churchs and buildings with stong and briallant colors. I was wonder at begining why the Hugarian beading artists could make such unusual color combinations while they bead, then I saw it by myself. The atmosphere of the city; liberty and Ars nouveau stylishment. Gorgeous!!!! As a beadaholic I was also looking for some bead shop based on following link http://www.guidetobeadwork.com/l,cat_id,87-hungarian-bead-stores.php I tried to visit them all, but to be honest the beads of these shops are not very cheap for me... and one of them ( Gyongyhalasz )I couldn't even find the way in... the only thing I saw about this shop was a shopwindow...no indication for entrace... Anyway I want to add two more,I found them during my walking tour : The first one is in Buda http://wextrade.hu/ a small shop but cute. The second one is in Pest near metro station Oktogon in the coner of Kiraly utca and Eotvos utca, I found some good deal but unfortunatelyI don't remember the shop name. Since I was there I also took a great lesson from Vezsuzsi Her blog :http://vezsuzsigyongyei.blogspot.com/ I choose to make Hamilkar pandant Here is my version I was so in love with this pendant then finaly I made it! Happy : )))) With more than one hour remain,Vezsuzsi was so kind and generous to let me choose another pattern to make, so here is my Bodog pendant

Here is my very first fimo cabochon,
with full of fingerprints....and totally not perfect.
(My bad!Next time I will wear gloves : p )
I 've just mixed different colors and baked them.
As a beadalcholic sometimes is really hard
don't purchase those beautiful beads,
but the gems cabochons....they killed my credit card...
Since I've learned for years Japanese paper clay
when I was a student.
I decided to try fimo; and I've had fun!
I think this one will become a pendant...
We will see!

Materials: Silver tone metalic beads,Swarovski vintage cabochon

and two 4470 cabochons;bicones;6000 drops and Czech fire polished

glass beads (round and rodelle),chains and pins.

For the first time I didn't use even a single glass seed bead.

Since I was trying to fugure something out without use fireline;

I choose a double Nylon thread because just like crystal beads

these tiny metalic balls cuts easily any kind of thread.

So far seems it worked : )

At first thank you Laulo to organized this interesting challenge,
I made my participation based on Peyote and brick stitch
Named " Jeans Castle", today the winner was be annoounced,
and the level was really high, I had fun to be part of this project.

This set " Thirties " at my original idea was some kind of Hippy stuff,

but at last the result didn't look like at all....Don't ask me why ; )

People tell me very often that my beading jewelry are " old "

But I think most likely I just have an antique soul : p

This bracelet was made for Perlesandco's Swarovski beading contest,
I didn't pass at first 20, but it was anyway an interesting experience
cause I was forced to use a lot of bicones and other Swaroski beads
that usually I mixed with seedbeads and other glass beads.
I called it Seabed -- Fondale marino.

I parteciped Autumn beading contest of forum HDPS
and I won the fourth place ,I am really very happy,
I called this necklace "Vendemmia"(Harvest)
and it was really difficult to take a nice photo,
I think I took more than hundred but it still not good enough.
Anyway I'd like to thank HDPS forum for organization,
and sposors for the awards of course :)

For this bracelet, I did a small tuto,the materials are :
Seed beads 6,8,11;nylon thread and a lot a lot of patience

This bracelet is just based on RAW (right angle weave)

not difficult at all,I am not able to explain well with words,

so I took the photos,anyway have fun :) !

The first day I was thinking about something really classic,
then the central motif was born...

Il primo giorno pensavo a qualcosa di molto classico

ed ecco e' nato la parte centrale

The day after I was thinking about to create a "connection"

between the central part and remaining

Il giorno dopo ho cominciato a pensare di trovare

" il collegamento " tra la parte centrale e il resto

Then the things wents really very complecated,

because each single small motif took me about 20 minuts..

I repeated it for 18 times....

so days and days I only working on this half beaded beads

La cosa diventava complicata perche'

ogni singolo mezzo perline perlinate

mi ci volevano 20 minuti e ne ho fatti ben 18...

quindi giorni e giorni di lavoro infiniti

In beadouillerie forum " Epoque " beading contest

I got 5th place in Baroque/Renaissance section.

to be my first contest, not bad.

Nel concorso " Epoque"del forum Beadouillerie

sezione Barocco/rinascimentale sono arrivata al quinto posto,

per essere il mio primo concorso, non c'e' male

This photo is the detail of my all hand made clasp,

only the last one is a complete beaded bead.

Some beading artist askd me for pattern

But I really not able to offer it because I am not a methodical

and I was really inspired and I don't remember how ...

I don't know if somebody record and write down their pattern

during their beading creation, but I am not that kind of person.
